Setup & Compatibility
How do I set up my Tukio tracker?
Setup takes under 60 seconds: pull the battery tab to activate, open the Find My app (iPhone) or Tukio app (Android), tap "Add New Device" and hold your phone near the tracker, then name your tracker and you're done.
Does Tukio work with both iPhone and Android?
Yes. On iPhone (iOS 14.5+), Tukio integrates directly with Apple's Find My app — no separate app needed. On Android, you'll use the free Tukio app, available on Google Play.
Can I share a tracker with my family?
Yes. On iPhone, you can share Tukio with up to 5 family members using Apple's built-in sharing feature. On Android, family members can add the tracker to their Tukio app using a shared code.
Battery & Durability
How long does the battery last?
Up to 12 months under normal use. The battery is a standard CR2032 coin cell — you can find replacements at any pharmacy, hardware store, or on Amazon for about $2.
Can I replace the battery myself?
Yes. The battery cover twists off by hand — no tools required. Replacement takes about 30 seconds.
Is Tukio waterproof?
Tukio is rated IP67, meaning it survives rain, snow, sweat, accidental drops in puddles, and submersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Not designed for swimming or prolonged underwater use.
Tracking & Range
What's the Bluetooth range?
Tukio works within about 30-120 meters (100-400 feet) in open spaces — less in buildings with thick walls. Beyond Bluetooth range, it can still be located via Apple's Find My network for iPhone users.
What if I lose my tracker out of Bluetooth range?
If you have an iPhone, the Apple Find My network anonymously uses any nearby iPhone to update your tracker's location, all securely and privately. If you're on Android only, the tracker shows the last known location before it went out of range.
Can I track my pet in real time?
Tukio uses Bluetooth + Find My network, not cellular GPS. In Bluetooth range you get real-time tracking; out of range you'll see location updates whenever another iPhone passes nearby. For active real-time pet tracking, a cellular GPS collar is a better fit.
Troubleshooting
My tracker isn't showing up in the app. What do I do?
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled, remove the battery for 10 seconds and reinsert it, close and reopen the app, and move your phone within 1 meter of the tracker. Still not working? Email support@tukiotag.com.
How do I turn off the alarm when it's beeping?
Press the center of the tracker firmly for 2 seconds, or open the app and tap "Stop Alarm" on the device page.
Does Tukio drain my phone's battery?
No. Tukio uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which uses less than 1% of your daily phone battery in our testing.

What's the difference between Tukio and AirTag?
Both use Apple's Find My network, so iPhone tracking performance is similar. Tukio is typically 15-25% cheaper, has a native Android app (AirTag does not), comes with a built-in keyring hole, and offers an optional Premium Protection Plan with lost item reimbursement.
